Overview

The details on this page represents the goal, activities, deliverables and resources for conducting a content migration as part of a site migration project.

The content migration is step 15 of a 24 step project delivery process Salsa has designed for migrating (or upgrading) sites from a legacy or proprietary CMS to Drupal 9.

Stage

4A: Rebuild

Goal

Transfer content from the source CMS site to Drupal 9 site. Have confidence content is migrated without issues.

Activities

1. Setup and configuration of content mappings and automation scripts

2. Iterative execution of content migrations per content type

3. Continuous content updates (reducing content-freeze burdens/windows)

4. Validation of migrated content
