We’d like to welcome Nick Austen to the Salsa team. Nick takes on a dual role as Salsa’s GovCMS Service Desk Manager and an Engagement Manager. As the Service Desk Manager, Nick works with the app support team and the Department of Finance to support the large number of agencies on the GovCMS platform. He ensures the smooth operation of the team and customer satisfaction.

As a Salsa Engagement Manager, Nick covers business analysis as well as project management. He works collaboratively with customers to understand their requirements and focuses on project delivery.

About Nick

Nick has over 20 years’ experience in IT projects and consulting across a broad range of industries. Before coming to Salsa, he was a product owner for a mobile app and accompanying web solution within an SME. Before that he’d worked as a contractor and consultant for various clients.

Nick has also worked extensively overseas, including stints in Singapore, Hong Kong and India. Throughout his employment history, he’s worked with geographically dispersed teams and in complex matrix environments.

Nick’s past roles have covered project management, engagement management, business analysis, quality assurance, application development and support.

Why Salsa?

Nick worked with Salsa COO and co-owner Paul in Singapore back in 2001, and they’d stayed in touch. Paul contacted Nick to see if he’d be interested in coming to work at Salsa. Nick was attracted to the challenge, variety of the role and Salsa culture. He’s particularly enjoying the team environment. “Every single person is supportive, friendly and good to work with...which is, unfortunately, quite rare.”

Nick lives in Melbourne’s inner southeast. Welcome Nick! View Nick’s Salsa profile.
