Welcome Alan

Salsarian since 31 October 2018

Salsa is thrilled to welcome Alan Rako to the Salsa team. Alan’s role as Head of Administration is to manage the business’ financial, general administration and executive assistant duties. His role also covers broader administrative functions, from onboarding new staff members to the triage and coordination of helpdesk support tickets.

About Alan

Alan holds a Bachelor of Business (Major in Marketing) from LaTrobe University Bundoora. After his studies Alan began his professional career in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry. He’s held a variety of roles from marketing communications to product management and category buying. Before joining Salsa Alan was the Business Development Manager for Master Craft Foods, a wrap/tortilla manufacturer based in Victoria.

Alan is also an entrepreneur at heart and is currently pursuing his own business-to-business ordering application (with other partners). In fact, it was this app that lead him to the digital space, and specifically Salsa.

His role at Salsa is very different from his past roles, and he loves the variety, the challenges and the opportunity to expand his business skill set. “My day’s never the same, and I like that. On a day-to-day basis I look forward to the work environment and to doing something completely different to what I’ve done in the past.”

Why Salsa?

“One of the reasons I joined was Salsa’s vision moving forward, its goals, the people and direction in the government space. I wanted to be part of a great team of people doing great work. People at Salsa actually do believe in their values, they want to do great things and they do follow through. This culture stems from top level management, truly inspiring!”

Alan lives in Melbourne with his wife and three children. Welcome, Alan! View Alan's Salsa profileExternal Link
